TITLE: An absolutely wonderful retreat! Rated ***** Filomena 2016
We stayed in Il Capriccio for a week at the end of June. It is a very tastefully renovated property with all modern appliances and it provided excellent accommodation for us. The house was spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped and with lovely views over the village and beyond from the terrace at the front. Celle is situated in a beautiful, peaceful village setting and is a welcome escape from the throngs of tourists in busier towns and cities. The large heated pool is fantastic. There are hammocks to relax on as well as sun loungers around the pool and plenty equipment for the younger visitors to play with. The garden areas are immaculately kept and the views across the hills are amazing.
Gill and Ken provide the all-important human touch and are genuinely lovely hosts. They give you a warm welcome and are on hand to make you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout your stay. They have provided all their guests with a substantial information pack covering suggestions for day trips, restaurants etc.
Celle is within easy reach of Lucca, where it is possible to hire bikes to cycle round the city walls ? great fun! We also enjoyed a visit to the gardens at Villa Reale at Marlia and a drive north through beautiful countryside to the Devil?s Bridge at Borga del Mozzano and on to Barga.
The Molin del Volpe and La Fonte restaurants are within easy reach of Celle and we can?t recommend them both highly enough.
This was our third visit to Celle. We didn?t want to leave and we have already rebooked for next September. I guess that says it all really!

One of the best vacations we have ever had. The villa has a breathtaking view like something you'd see in a travel magazine. The location was great, because the major cities like Florence, Siena, and Rome, could be done in a day trip. Not only that, but there was plenty to do in town. The villa is also ideal for just spending a whole day relaxing by the pool and cooking dinner in the fully furnished and stocked kitchen. Fresh fruit and local wine were waiting for us when we arrived. There's also a grocery store just a few minutes away where you can pick up more groceries and any other items you may need. Whats more, the hosts are one of the most genuine and heartfelt people you will ever meet. They have no problem with showing you the region and telling you the best spots to visit in Italy. Ultimately, it is the best option if you want a genuine Tuscan experience and for a headquarters for your Italian Adventure.

Contact with Gill and Ken was unproblematic, friendly and helpful. The accommodation, the house, was very nice, large and covered all needs. The kitchen was almost better equipped than mIne at home. We had a very nice time there, the wonderful surroundings, the small town with its very friendly residents were simply fall in love!! We always start our day tours from here. I''''m sure we''''ll go back to this region one day and stay with Gill and Ken again!
Wunderschön und idyllisch gelegenes Örtchen
Der Kontakt mit Gill und Ken war unproblematisch, sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft, das Haus, war sehr schön, groß und hat alle Bedürfnisse abgedeckt. Die Küche war fast besser ausgestattet als meine zu Hause. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit dort, die wundervolle Umgebung, das kleine Örtchen mit seinen sehr freundlichen Einwohnern waren einfach zum verlieben!! Wir starten von hier aus immer unsere Tagestouren. Ich bin mir sicher, dass wir eines Tages noch mal in diese Region fahren und uns wieder bei Gill und Ken einquartieren!
