BEACHES

                            PISA

There are some lovely beaches in Pisa.

The Pisa beaches we are suggesting here, are recommended for small children as the sea is not so far from the loungers.  It has a sheltered shallow lagoon.  Safe to float your lylos and blow up boats etc., without fear of being washed out to sea! Also a fabulous area with rocks to go 'crabbing', which is ideal for younger children.    For the older children there are 2 floating pontoons a short swim from the rock barrier and you can dive off the pontoons.  Looks like great fun!

Each 'Bagno' has its own lifeguard

There are miles and miles of beaches in Italy but most of them are Private and have their own bars and restaurants. The bonus about these private beaches is that you have the use of their WC’s and showers and there are shaded picnic areas. They also provide parking

Public (free) beaches can be found in the following places.  They tend to be smaller and more crowded.  It is necessary to take your own loungers and parasols.

Viareggio

Lido di Camiore

Pietrasanta

Forte di Marmi
