We really enjoyed our holidays in Italy! We strongly recommend the accommodation run by Gill and Ken. A lovely and well-equipped place with a great swimming pool. Very enjoyable for kids. A good Basis for day trips in Tuscany (e.g. Florence, Lucca, Pisa).

A spacious apartment in an authentic villa with a great mountain view and swimming pool. Ideal for relaxing but also a good location for taking short trips to explore Tuscany and especially the area in and around Lucca.

Wonderful view. Very well equipped - everything you need is provided by Gill & Ken (except your food/drink of course). Lovely environment. Stayed in Sept/Oct with the object of travelling around, enjoying restaurants (which we really did). Terrific scenery very different to the rest of Tuscany, Dolomites etc. It should be noted that you park your car at the foot of the small village and walk up quite a few steps - fine if you are able to do it which we were...just.

We spent a week of our summer in the beautiful Tuscan “hamlet” of Celle. Such a lovely area off the main tourist track, but not too far from Lucca and slightly further to either the coast or Torre Del Lago. The apartment was marvellous, so much character and style and everything you could need….such a high standard with a lot of love put into it!
We filled our days with a mix of “action and adventure” or lazing by the lovely pool, chilling and soaking up the sun. On the active days we did some orienteering down waterfalls, paragliding off a local mountain (incredible thing to do!!) or taking in the culture of an opera performed at the fabulous amphitheatre at Torre Del Lago from the local composer, Puccini. The local Puccini museum is also worth a visit.
Thank you Gill & Ken for your help, advice and organising some of the incredible things we did during our stay in Tuscany, especially the pizza night - such fun. Such a super holiday….
A Fabulous Place / Great Owners Rated ***** 2016
Gill and Ken have to job of holiday property owners down to a fine art! The place is lovely and the apartment was stocked with everything you need. My wife reckoned that the kitchen was better stocked than ours at home. The swimming pool is cleaned every morning at 6am. The property (La Sinfonia) is finished to a very high standard. Gill and Ken go out of their way to ensure that your stay is as relaxed as possible. I would recommend Celle to anyone wanting a relaxed holiday. A visit to the nearby restaurants Mulon (at the bottom of the hill) and La Fonte (further up the valley) is a must! Keeping to their attention to detail, each apartment has folders full of information on local restaurants and attractions. While we were there, Gill and Ken heard about a new sea swimming area near Pisa which was cordoned off by a rock wall so that it was safe for children - they travelled to visit (and assess) it before including it in their info on attractions! It's comforting to know that Gill and Ken will have reviewed all attractions

Sinfonia is a beautifully restored and furnished apartment, set high up in the hills of Celle dei Puccini with far reaching views over the wooded hills north of Lucca. The apartment offers a good size living area with carefully chosen furniture and décor which really compliments the building. There is a magnificent wood burning stove as you enter the living room, whose flue travels up through a vaulted ceiling. A real wow. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped with all the utensils any holiday maker would need and everything is meticulously clean. There is a downstairs bathroom with shower, very handy when just returning from the pool. Upstairs there is a lovely twin bedroom and double bedroom with a further good size bathroom. Off the kitchen is a small balcony with a high table and 4 stools. The views from here are amazing and we spent many hours here gazing across the rooftops of the village below and the surrounding countryside. Our hosts, Gill and Ken have clearly taken a lot of time and effort in restoring this apartment and the others within the building. The restoration has been carefully considered, and the attention to detail is first class. The added benefit is that Gill and Ken live on site so if we did need anything they were on hand. Nothing was too much trouble. Outside the property there is a lovely and well maintained swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers and chairs, lawned area, raised terrace with 4 hammocks under a shaded canopy which was very welcome when it became really hot. The property also had a gas BBQ and separate eating area outside. The restaurants we ate at locally, offered excellent quality food and good value. The nearest supermarket was about 15 mins drive away and good value for money. Lucca is approximately 30 minutes drive and Pisa 1 hour 15 minutes. There are plenty of interesting places to visit within a 1.5 hour drive. We visited Lucca, Barga, and Vinci all of which are well worth going to. However, we were more than happy to just stay put at Celle Dei Puccini and relax by the pool. We will definitely be returning next year.

To say that this holiday location is idyllic is an under statement. We have stayed in La Sinfonia many times over the last five years. It is a beautiful family home that has been lovingly restored and has every essential requirement for us to call this "our own" holiday home. The hospitality and kindness shown by Gill and Ken the owners keeps bringing us back to visit again and again. There is also so much to do in the area and the prime village location puts you in the heart of rural Tuscan life with the added bonus of all the history at the Puccini museum. A truely magical holiday destination, one to be highly recommended.

We stayed in La Sinfonia for a week last July and had an absolutely amazing time! The house is spacious, airy and extremely comfortable with absolutely everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. The views from the house out over the village and the surrounding hills are breathtaking especially after a thunderstorm! That was only one afternoon and the sun and heat returned very quickly afterwards! There is plenty shade around the immaculate pool and the house stays cool. Our kids (5 and 7) loved the pool and hammocks.
The village is beautiful and we had a lovely meal in the wee restaurant. Lucca is only a short drive away and well worth a visit but we left it until late afternoon so we could cycle around the walls when it was cooler.
